First place at Mascara University in the running competition at the University of the Valley
Student Nasser Marwa, representing Mascara University, won first place in the national stage animation competition organized today, March 14, 2023, by the Sub-Directorate of Scientific, Cultural and Sports Activities at the University of Martyr Hama Lakhdar. Student Rahma Kaouane, representing Setif 2 University, won second place, while student Salma Boudiar from El Oued University won third place.
10 candidates selected from a total of 181 participants representing 45 university institutions participated in this national competition in its fourth edition, which was held in the Abu Al-Qasim Saadallah Grand Lecture Hall.
The competition aims to discover student talents in the art of activation and employ them in various activities, in addition to consolidating the national memory among students.
This cultural event was distinguished by the presence of the University Director, Professor Omar Farhati, the Vice-Directors of the University, the Secretary-General of the University, the Deans of the Faculties, the Sub-Director of Activities, the members of the Jury, the representative of Civil Protection, and the university family of professors and students.
In his opening speech for the launch of the event, the University President welcomed the attendees, thanking the University Secretary General and the Sub-Director of Activities for the efforts made to make the event a success. He called for the formation and exploitation of these talents, accompanying them, developing their talents and investing them in the future in various activation fields, wishing success and distinction for this event of a cultural nature.
For his part, the Dean of the College of Social and Human Sciences gave a welcoming speech to the attendees and all participants in the competition from various university institutions. Dr. Karima Abbad, in her capacity as a journalist and media professional and a member of the judging committee, expressed her happiness to be part of the committee and in this event. She also praised the organizational level, accuracy and methodology in the organization and gave full marks to Al Wadi University for organizing the competition, wishing success to all participants.
The jury consisted of the head of the committee, Dr. Qaita Fatima Al-Zahra, and members Dr. Saad Mardif, Dr. Karima Abbad, a journalist and media professional at the University of Algiers 2, and Dr. Ahmed Gharbi, a journalist and professor at the University of Algiers 2.
The competition committee adopted several precise criteria on a scoring scale, including vocal performance, appearance, dress, charisma, improvisation, and good preparation, before announcing the aforementioned results for the three winners. On this occasion, the winners were honored with valuable prizes and gifts from the university.
