Important Announcement for PhD Students at the University of El Oued

The University of El Oued, in collaboration with the University of Córdoba (UCO), Spain, is pleased to announce the opening of applications for PhD students to participate in the Erasmus+ KA171 International Mobility Program during the second semester of the  academic year 2026/2027.

Scholarship Details

• Number of scholarships available: 1 PhD scholarship
• Mobility duration: 5 months
• Host institution: University of Córdoba (UCO), Spain
• Mobility type: Student Mobility for Studies (SMS)
• Eligible level: PhD students enrolled in at least the 2nd year of their doctoral studies

Eligibility and Application Requirements

• Be officially enrolled as PhD students at the University of El Oued
• Be enrolled in at least the 2nd year of their PhD program
• Meet the required language proficiency level:
• English B2 for courses or research activities conducted in English
• Spanish B2 for activities conducted in Spanish

• Valid passport or national identity document valid throughout the mobility period
• Updated CV in English
• Transcript of Records in English, stamped by the Dean’s Office
• Declared Courses for the Current Semester in English, stamped by the Dean’s Office
• Language proficiency certificate

  • Detailed research proposal
  • List of publications
  • Certificate of enrollment (Inscription Certificate)
  • Letter of endorsement from academic staff
  • Passport-sized photograph

  Strongly Recommended Document

  Applicants are strongly encouraged to obtain an acceptance/invitation letter signed by a professor at the University of Córdoba who agrees to act as the student’s academic or research supervisor during the mobility period.

  Second Step After Pre-Nomination

  • Learning Agreement, duly completed and signed by the Sending University

  Nomination and Selection Process

  Selection by the University of El Oued: The University of El Oued will evaluate the submitted applications and select the candidates to be nominated for the mobility program.

  Nomination Procedure: Selected candidates will be officially nominated through the designated Erasmus+ mobility procedure.

  Eligibility Check by the University of Córdoba: The International Projects and Mobility Office at the University of Córdoba will verify the eligibility of the nominated candidates and their application documents. Final acceptance remains subject to the University of Córdoba’s eligibility verification and approval procedures.

  • Mobility period: Second semester of the academic year 2026/2027
  • Expected mobility duration: 5 months

  Important: Non-EU students must obtain appropriate health insurance valid in Spain for the entire duration of their stay and comply with the applicable visa and residence requirements.

  Expected Academic Outcomes After Mobility

  As an outcome of the mobility and in order to strengthen academic and scientific cooperation between the University of El Oued and the University of Córdoba, participating PhD students will be expected to contribute to at least one of the following:

  • One joint research paper
  • One indexed conference paper

  The scientific output should be prepared through collaboration between researchers from the University of El Oued and the University of Córdoba.
