On May 6, 2024, the director of the University of Chahid Hama Lakhdar, Professor Omar Farhati, held a meeting with representatives of the trade unions at the University of the Valley. The meeting was attended by the Secretary-General of the University, Dr. Shawqi Mudallal, the Chairman of the Social Services Committee, Dr. Haima Abdel Qader, the President of the National Union of Professors of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Professor Qadiri Abdel Karim, the President of the National Council of Professors of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Professor Al-Zein Younis, and the President of the Independent National Union of Higher Education Users.
