Meeting of the Board of Directors of the University of Martyr Hama Lakhdar El Oued
Today, Tuesday, January 30, 2024, the Board of Directors of the University of Martyr Hamou Lakhdar met in the meeting hall of the central administration, headed by the Chairman of the Board of Directors, representing His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Professor Halilat Mohamed Taher, Director of the University of Ouargla, and in the presence of the Director of the University of El Oued, Professor Omar Farhati, his deputies, members of the Board of Directors, deans of faculties, executive directors of the state, and representatives of professors, students and workers.
The meeting agenda revolved around the following:
- Presentation of the results of scientific and pedagogical activities for the first semester 2023/2024
- Approval of the establishment of the consulting and research and development office interface.
- Miscellaneous.
The Chairman of the Board of Directors, Professor Halilat Mohamed El Taher, opened the session by welcoming the members of the Board and presenting the agenda of the Board, before giving the floor to the University Director, Professor Omar Farhati, who in turn expressed his gratitude to the Chairman of the Board of Directors and the members. The Vice-Rector of the University for Pedagogy, Professor Bashir Manaei, gave a comprehensive presentation on all the university statistics in the pedagogical aspect for this season 2023/2024, mentioning the most important points represented in the number of students, enhancing the use of the English language, and the first semester evaluation of English language teaching professors and distance education.
The Vice-Rector of the University for Scientific Research, Professor Rahuma Farhat, also gave a presentation on training in the third and post-graduation phase of scientific research, which included research laboratories, the business incubator, PRFU research projects, the scientific production of doctoral students, their training projects, and scientific research activities.
For his part, the Vice-Rector for External Relations, Dr. Mohamed Fouad Farhat, presented a presentation on the activities of the Vice-Rector for External Relations, represented by internships, national and international forums, recently concluded agreements, and scientific visits with the aim of improving the university’s vision and encouraging exchanges and the policy of openness to the social and economic environment. He referred to the Russian corner and the launch of learning Russian. He also presented a second presentation on the most important projects of the subsidiary institutions of the University of Martyr Hama Lakhdar in El Oued, in which he addressed the most important axes represented by the importance of the subsidiary institutions, the new facade “Consulting, Research and Development Office”, and the most important facades established at the level of the University of El Oued. He also focused in his intervention on the Consulting, Research and Development Office and addressed the approved facades in the university and the subsidiary institutions that are under construction. In his intervention, the Vice-Rector for Development and Foresight, Professor Ammar Al-Zaabi, presented a statistical presentation on the development of the University of El Oued and the percentages of the various censuses of students and professors and open specializations and what the university has obtained in terms of equipment and completed operations or those in the process of processing and completion.
Then the Council Chairman gave the floor to the honourable members and opened the door for dialogue.
In conclusion, the establishment of the Consulting, Research and Development Office was approved, and the Chairman of the Board of Directors, the representative of the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Professor Halilat Muhammad Al-Tahir Al-Sayed, thanked the University Director and the university family, professors, students, workers and employees, for all the achievements made.
