The University President holds a meeting with the university family on local workshops to modernize the higher education sector
Today, June 5, 2023, a meeting was held in the Abu Al-Qasim Saadallah Grand Lecture Hall at the University of Martyr Hamou Lakhdar - El Oued - regarding local workshops to modernize the higher education and scientific research sector. This meeting, chaired by the University Director, Professor Omar Farhati, is part of the instructions of the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research for the close participation of all members of the university family, and the development of all proposals with the aim of modernizing the sector.
The meeting was attended by the university’s vice-presidents, the director of university services, the university’s secretary-general, the deans of colleges and their deputies, the heads of departments, the secretaries-general of colleges, the officials of the fields, branches and specializations, and representatives of professors and students from unions and organizations.
The University President opened his speech by welcoming the attendees to this important meeting, which is dedicated to reforming and modernizing the higher education sector and the outcome of the local sessions with the participation of all members of the university family, with all proposals being put forward and studied in preparation for the national sessions. The University Vice President in charge of scientific research, Professor Boubaker Mansour, then presented a detailed presentation of the programmed calendar for the local sessions since their beginning in April until now, and pointed out the collection and summary of all decisions according to the Ministry’s model. Professor Kouider Kaitoun then presented the outcome of a group of workshops with the presentation of proposals (Education and Training Workshop, Doctoral Training and University Research Workshop, New Proposals for Pedagogical Organization Workshop, Legal and Organizational Support Workshop, Visual Workshop, University Attractiveness and International Outreach). Dr. Hisham Gharbi presented the results of the work of the remaining group of workshops and gave proposals, so that the university president opened the door for dialogue and interventions to reconsider the proposals for the final chapter of what they included before their inclusion in the National Committee on June 15, 2023, thanking all contributors from the university family in developing proposals and observations to find appropriate answers to all the questions raised in the higher education and scientific research sector.
