For 2sd year Master’s Degree and PhD Students
The University of El Oued is pleased to announce the Erasmus+ KA1 2025-2026 mobility opportunities for its Master’s degree and PhD students to visit Sapienza University of Rome. This program supports academic exchange under the Erasmus+ KA1 framework, with partial funding available for selected applicants.
Mobility Details:
- Student Mobility for Studies (SMS): 7 Students (2sd year PhD + 2sd Year Master)
- Durée: 6 months
- Nomination Period:
- Second semester
Financial Support:
Eligible participants will receive financial support, which includes travel and subsistence contributions.
Documents for Application for Master’s Degree Students for the 1st step:
- Curriculum Vitae
- Transcript of Records (English, stamped by the Dean’s Office)
- Declared Courses for Current Semester (English, stamped by the Dean’s Office)
- English certificate (minimum B2 for courses in English, B2 for courses in Italian)
- Copy of Passport/ID (valid for the entire mobility period)
- Curriculum Vitae (CV)
- Motivation letter + detailed Research proposal
- Inscription Certificate
- Passport-sized photograph
- Acceptance letter signed by one of the Sapienza Professors who will act as the student’s supervisor for the thesis.
Documents for Application for PhD Degree Students for the 1st step:
- Curriculum Vitae
- Transcript of Records (English, stamped by the Dean’s Office)
- Declared Courses for Current Semester (English, stamped by the Dean’s Office)
- English certificate (minimum B2 for courses in English, B2 for courses in Italian)
- Copy of Passport/ID (valid for the entire mobility period)
- Curriculum Vitae (CV)
- Motivation letter + detailed Research proposal
- List of publications
- Inscription Certificate
- Letter of endorsement by academic staff
- Passport-sized photograph
- Acceptance letter signed by one of the Sapienza Professors who will act as the student’s supervisor.
After the pre-nomination, the students are required to send the following documents in the 2sd Step:
- Learning Agreement (signed by the Sending University)
Eligibility Criteria:
- Participants must be enrolled in the 2sd year Master’s degree or at least a 2sd year PhD program at the University of El Oued.
- Nominated students will receive support based on the selection criteria set by the University of El Oued.
- Subjects’ areas: All Fields.
Nomination and Application Process:
- Nomination by the University of El Oued:
- The university will select and nominate students via the Mobility Online platform.
- Minutes of selection must be provided (detailing the selection process, deadlines, committee members, and full ranking list of candidates).
- Eligibility Check by Sapienza University of Rome:
- The International Projects and Mobility Office will verify eligibility and ranking.

Accommodation & Support Services:
- Selected students will receive support in regarding accommodation and services.
- Orientation and Welcome Days will be conducted.
- Non-EU students must have a health insurance policy valid in Italy.
Conditions after the mobility
As a result of the mobility,
- Master’s Students: Expected to produce a high-quality thesis, with outcomes ideally leading to a possible joint publication between the University of El Oued and Sapienza University of Rome.
- PhD Students: Required to publish at least one joint research paper or an indexed conference paper in collaboration between the two universities.
