Important Announcement for PhD Students at El Oued University
The University of El Oued, in collaboration with the University of Córdoba (UCO), Spain, is pleased to announce the opening of applications for PhD students to participate in the Erasmus+ KA171 international mobility
program for the first semester of the 2026/2027 academic year.
* Scholarship Details:
Number of scholarships available: 1 PhD scholarship
Scholarship duration: 5 months
Host Institution: University of Córdoba (UCO), Spain
Mobility type: Student Mobility for Studies (SMS)
Eligibility level: PhD students enrolled in at least the 2nd year of their
doctoral studies
* Available Disciplines:
The mobility opportunity is open to PhD students in the following subject areas:
Education Science
Biology
Chemistry
Environmental Sciences
Information and Communication Technologies
Agriculture
Forestry
* Financial Benefits for Students:
Selected participants will receive Erasmus+ financial support, including:
Monthly stipend to contribute to living expenses during the mobility
period
Travel grant according to Erasmus+ distance-based funding rules
Academic and administrative support from the host institution
Orientation and welcome services upon arrival
* Application Requirements:
Applicants must:
Be officially enrolled as PhD students at the University of El Oued
Be in at least the 2nd year of their PhD program
Demonstrate the required language proficiency:
o English level B2 for courses or research activities conducted in English
o Spanish level B2 for activities conducted in Spanish
* Required Documents:
Applicants must prepare the following documents:
Valid passport or national ID (valid throughout the mobility period)
Updated CV in English
Transcript of Records in English, stamped by the Dean’s Office
Declared Courses for the Current Semester in English, stamped by the
Dean’s Office
Language proficiency certificate
Motivation letter
Detailed research proposal
List of publications
Certificate of enrollment (Inscription Certificate)
Letter of endorsement from academic staff
Passport-sized photograph
Recommendation: Acceptance letter (invitation letter) signed by a
professor at the University of Córdoba who will act as the student’s
academic supervisor during the mobility
* Second Step After Pre-Nomination:
Shortlisted or pre-nominated students will be required to submit:
Learning Agreement, signed by the Sending University
*Nomination and Selection Process:
1. Selection by the University of El Oued:
The University of El Oued will evaluate applications and nominateselected candidates.
2. Nomination Procedure:
Nominations will be submitted through the designated mobility procedure.
3. Eligibility Check by the University of Córdoba:
The International Projects and Mobility Office at UCO will verify the eligibility of nominated candidates.
* Academic Calendar:
Mobility period: Second semester of the academic year 2026/2027

Selected students will benefit from:
Assistance regarding accommodation and student services
Orientation and welcome activities
Academic and administrative support during the mobility period
Important: Non-EU students must obtain health insurance valid in Spain for the entire duration of their stay.
* Conditions After Mobility:
As an outcome of the mobility, PhD students will be required to contribute to academic cooperation between the two universities through:
At least one joint research paper, or
One indexed conference paper prepared in collaboration between the University of El Oued and the University of Córdoba
