Global Health EDCTP3 – Call for expressions of interest: join the Stakeholders\u2019 Group<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Who can apply<\/h3>\n

The Stakeholders\u2019 Group is open to all\u00a0public and private stakeholder organisations<\/strong>, including organised groups and international interest groups that are active in the field of global health and aligned with the mission of Global Health EDCTP3.<\/p>\n

The group aims for balanced representation across geography, thematic focus, and gender, with a particular emphasis on expertise from sub-Saharan Africa.<\/p>\n

The call is aimed at organisations, not individuals. Selected organisations will be invited to appoint a representative and an alternate.<\/p>\n

Horizon Europe Africa Initiative III: Unprecedented Interest from Kenyan Scientists<\/strong><\/h2>\n
Le\u00a0Horizon Europe \u2013 Africa Initiative III<\/strong>\u00a0launch event drew exceptional interest, with\u00a0over 900 registered participants<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0more than 500 attending live<\/strong>. A particularly engaging\u00a0Q&A session<\/strong>\u00a0followed the presentations, featuring insightful questions and interventions from\u00a0Kenyan scientists and institutional representatives<\/strong>. The vibrant exchange underscored not only the relevance of the topics discussed but also the strong and growing interest of Kenya\u2019s research community in deepening collaboration with the European Union.<\/div>\n

Successful Horizon Europe Info Day Focused on “Africa Initiative III” Held at Adama Science and Technology University<\/strong><\/h2>\n

On June 25, 2025, Adama Science and Technology University (ASTU<\/a><\/span><\/span>) hosted the Horizon Europe Info Day and Grant Writing Workshop, coinciding with the 4th Annual Congress of the Computational Science and Engineering Society of Ethiopia (CSESE<\/a><\/span><\/span>). The congress, themed “Advancing Sustainable Solutions through Computational Sciences and Engineering: Innovation, Collaboration, and Impact,” took place from June 25 to 26, attracting over 250 participants, including CSESE executive members, and esteemed professors, researchers, graduate students from various universities and institutions across the country participated in the conference. The primary focus of the morning session was on exploring funding, mobility, and networking opportunities within the Horizon Europe framework, with particular emphasis on the Africa Initiative III.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
