THE QUALITY ASSURANCE CELL (QAC)

A BRIEF INTRODUCTION INTO THE QUALITY ASSURANCE CELL (QAC) AND ITS FUNCTIONS AT THE UNIVERSITY LEVEL


Quality Assurance Cell Definition:


The Quality Assurance Cell (QAC) is a body composed of a cell officer and members representing all faculties of the institution.
A quality assurance unit is established in each faculty or institute headed by a member of the Quality Assurance Cell.
Like other universities of the country, Hama Lakhdar El Oued University the Quality Assurance Cell (QAC) was renewed on 01st of September 2016.

 

Quality Assurance Cell Functions:


  1. Spread the culture of quality management in the institution.

  2. Lead the enterprise's quality management.

  3. Accompany quality units in all activities.

  4. Training of quality administrators.

  5. Communicating and informing all concerned parties with the necessary information and relevant statistics.

  6. Administering the self-evaluation and internal audit processes in order to ensure the application of quality standards.

  7. Establishing the general strategic plan and operational plans of the university.

  8. Implementation of national reference standards for quality assurance in higher education.

  9. Implementation of the internal quality assessment system.

  10. Preparation and follow-up of the external evaluation.

In addition to that the Assurance Quality the ministry level undertakes the following tasks:

  1. Follow-up the establishment of the quality assurance cell "QAC" at the level of all institutions of higher education.

  2. Training the officials of quality assurance cells on how to achieve total quality management in accordance with the concepts of strategic planning.
    3. Developing “Referential” standards for quality measurement and adopting them as means to measure performance.

  3. Generalizing the process of self-evaluation according to approved standards.
