Scientists at Riga Technical University have developed an innovative system to monitor ship CO\u2082 emissions in Latvian ports. The ECO2-PORT project combines a sensor-equipped land-based drone, a port command centre, and machine learning to detect and analyse ship exhaust gases in real time. The results support stricter air-pollution control and can be applied in Latvian port operations.
